Description

Vortice

Rider guidelines: Beginner up to 180 lbs; intermediate and advanced up to 250 lbs.

DESIGN NOTES: This model was designed to be a ‘general purpose’ race or touring SUP paddleboard. Starting with the same basic chassis as the XP "Vortice," it has been slightly widened and adapted to the molded-composite construction used to manufacture the rest of the C4 quiver. The double-barrel concaves and sharp rail chines leave the water no where to go but off the tail-------in a hurry. The result is a light and strong paddleboard that is compatible with most intermediate to advanced paddlers, fast enough to win races but easygoing and stable enough to cruise along the coast for physical training or sightseeing.

Holo Holo

Rider guidelines: Beginner up to 185 lbs; intermediate and advanced up to 250 lbs.

DESIGN NOTES: In Hawaii, "Holo Holo" means to head off for a walk, a ride or a sail strictly for pleasure. The C4 "Holo Holo" was intended for just this purpose. This coastal cruiser or flat water Stand-Up paddleboard was designed to enable the paddler to head off and gaze at whatever catches his or her fancy. Pristine kelp beds, warm meandering rivers, tranquil smooth lakes--------whatever, just go ahead and effortlessly scoot along and 'smell the roses.' With its streamlined shape and steep rails, the 'Holo Holo' has the planing efficiency of a racing paddleboard, while the additional thickness and slight double-barrel bottom concaves provide stability without having to resort to an overly wide plan shape------which often prevents a proper vertical-shaft paddle stroke. Although intended as a 'cruiser,' the 'Holo Holo' nonetheless is up to a romp in the surf for those intermediate or advanced SUP surfers who crave the ultra-glide thrills of the ancient Hawaiian 'olo' boards.

C4 Eleu Laydown Paddleboard

This 12' board is C4's answer for any watermen looking for a stock racing paddleboard. Originally designed by Todd Bradley and Karel Tresnak, the 'Eleu design has won more paddleboard races than any other stock board in the world. The Boardworks "Eleu" is not hollow, but the T.E.C. Thermal Epoxy Compression construction makes it light and strong.

Eleu means "Lively, Quick" in Hawaiian

C-Mac RiverRover ATB (All Terrain Board)

The C4 Waterman C-Mac RiverRover ATB (All Terrain Board) is designed by Dave Parmenter in cooperation with (C-Mac) Charlie Mac Arthur, Renowned paddler and Water water Master, to accommodate both the beginner to expert stand-up paddleboarder for Training, flat-water lakes and flowing rivers. Though many of the design features are aimed at rough and fast water, the C4 Waterman C-Mac River Rover ATB, with its ample width, thickness, and proprietary bottom rocker, makes a splendid recreational flat water paddler in lakes, lagoons, and even coastal cruising in the ocean.

Stand-up paddling performance in fast-flowing rivers dictates the C4 Waterman C-Mac River Rover ATB design. The chief feature is the board‘s stability. As the board is pulled along at the speed of the river, there is much less water flow over the hull compared to that of a surfbaord riding a wave. Without the stabilizing influence of a higher planing speed, the board must be first and foremost be a rock-steady platform.

Yet at the same time this platform must be extremely nimble in turns; it must respond crisply and immediately to the paddler’s commands, either from deflection due to the paddle or the his weight shifts. The turbulent river flow must not suck at the rails or bury the nose or tail when the rider negotiates standing waves or other hydraulic features. The C4 Waterman C-Mac River Rover ATB accomplishes this with a number of design features.

First, the innovative three-stage rocker grants the paddler plenty of stability and speed on straight runs, but at the same time the flared nose and tail act as fore and aft ‘kick-tails’ of sorts, letting the whitewater paddler make lightning fast, crisp snap-turns, allowing him to maneuver around hazards or whip the nose around to notch into standing waves.

Furthermore, the steep rails and twin-edged bottom chine lessen drag and prevent water from climbing up onto the deck when the rail is across the current, always a dicey position for a surfboard-type craft in rapids.

Part surfboard, part whitewater kayak, part skateboard, the C4 Waterman C-Mac RiverRover ATB is the first stand-up surfboard exclusively designed for Training, Cruising; as well as creative and radical hotdogging in the new but growing sport of stand-up whitewater paddling. New ground is broken every day at C4 waterman-----Standup paddle and start and adventure!
