Chuck Andrus

Chuck Andrus has been shaping surfboards for 30 years. He is currently one of Local Motions featured shapers. He has shaped custom boards for Manoa Drolett, Kalani Robb, Bruce Irons, Mel Kinney, Tom Stone, and Titus Kinimaka. Chuck still prefers to shape by hand and is excellent at all types of boards. Shortboards, guns, longboards, funboards, channels, fish, whatever. Recently, he has been working on tuning his shortboard designs to create more speed and maneuverability. He has also been designing thinner, lighter fun and longboards for the girls market. Chuck is multilingual, speaking Japanese, Tahitian, Hawaiian, and English with a strong Hawaiian background. His favorite surf spots are V-land, Phantoms, Sunset and Pipe. He still surfs whenever he can and considers himself a surfer before a shaper.
