Stu Kenson started surfing in 1969. He built his first board in 1972 and Started working professionally in 1987 with his own label, Evening Glass. He later went on the lead design programs for Weber Surfboards, Rusty Surfboards and Joel Tudor Designs. Stu built boards throughout the 90’s for top professional surfers such as Joel Tudor, Rochelle Ballard, Kevin Connelly, and Saxon Boucher and continues to work with the best young upcoming surfers in the San Diego area. Stu also excelled as a professional surfer from 1985-1995 as one of the top rated professional longboarders with a reputation for his high speed top down surfing riding shortboards as well. Vertical surfing is his forte and the board designs he brings to his SK line for Boardworks relects his commitment to high performance surfing.
